- Signed in 1371 in Alcoutim, Portugal, near the border with Castile.
- Brings to an end the 1st Guerra Fernandina, between Fernando of Portugal and Enrique II of Castile.
- The Treaty was renegotiated in view of King Fernando's sudden marriage to Dona Leonor Teles. This new situation raised many contentious issues regarding his erstwhile marriage plans with Enrique II's daughter, also called Leonor, and the exchange of townships originally agreed. [Fernando, ch. 59: 1-64]
