Alcoutim

  1. Town with castle in SE Portugal on the banks of the Guadiana River, which serves as the border between Portugal and modern Spain.
  2. Place where the Treaty of Alcoutim was signed in 1371, thus ending the 1st Guerra Fernandina, the conflict between Fernando of Portugal and Enrique II of Castile.
