- (c. 1330-1387) Illegitimate son of João Afonso de Albuquerque, 6th Lord of Alquequerque, known as "o do Ataúde", and of Maria Rodrigues Barba.
- Master of the Order of Santiago in Portugal, according to Fernão Lopes, owing to the influence of Queen Leonor Teles.
- In 1384 he went to Lisbon as a show of support for the Master of Avis, Regent and Defender of the kingdom of Portugal. Since then, and throughout the 1383-1385 crisis, the Castle of Palmela and the Order of Santiago remained faithful to the Master of Avis, future João I of Portugal.
