  2. Place connected to "Lourenço Martins da Praça, one of the upright citizens of that city [Lisbon] and who lived close to the cathedral in the Praça dos Escanos, the Square of the Benches". CDP, ch. 1: 62-64. Lourenço Martins da Praça was responsible for the upbringing of the future King João I during his childhood.
