Carmona

  1. Town northeast of Seville, in Andalusia, south-west modern Spain.
  2. Place where Leonor Núñez de Guzmán was imprisoned by Pedro of Castile, as a consequence of having encouraged the marriage between Juana Manuel and Enrique de Trastámara, her son and Pedro's half-brother. The new king had great suspicions against the Guzmáns' intentions and loyalties following the death of Alfonso XI. [Pedro, ch. 17: 69-76]
  3. Place where Pedro of Castile had his half-brothers killed: Juan Alfonso, aged nineteen (1341–1359), and the younger Pedro Alfonso aged fourteen (1345–1359). [Pedro, ch. 25: 35-38]
