William Beauchamp

  1. A younger son of Thomas, Earl of Warwick, and a seasoned military man. 

  2. Veteran of Nájera at the side of Pedro of Castile and the Black Prince (1367).
  3. According to Fernão Lopes, he was constable of the English fleet accompanying Edmund Earl of Cambridge to Portugal to assist King Fernando against Juan I of Castile (1381). He may have been given command of the English transport ships. [TVF]
