  1. Shmuel Ben Meir Ha-Levi Abulafia (also Al-Levi, or Allavi), founder of the Synagogue of Toledo as well as several other synagogues.
  2. 'Tesoureiro-mor', chief treasurer to King Pedro of Castile.
  3. Pedro of Castile had him arrested and tortured in the arsenal vaults of Seville where he died. [Pedro, ch. 32: 26-31]
