- Responsible for the sermon delivered on the occasion the papal letters confirming King João I's dispensation of the vows of celibacy were made public at Lisbon Cathedral (1390). This was important in order to dispel any suspicions of illegality regarding the king's marriage to Philippa of Lancaster. These letters had required several visits of his envoys to the Curia.
