Pierre de Sortenac, Cardinal of Viviers

  1. (?-1390) Born in Caraman, archdiocese of Toulouse, southern France.
  2. Bishop of Viviers, in 1373-1375.
  3. Elevated to Cardinal of St. Lorenzo in Lucina, 1375, but was usually known as Cardinal of Poitiers.
  4. Participated in the coclaves that voted Pope Urban VI and the Antipope Clement VII, both in 1378.
