  5. Accompanied Pedro of Castile and his younger daughters to Portugal, as they fled in the wake of Enrique of Trastámara's march on Castile and in face of the growing hatred of the people against him and support for the invader. [Pedro, ch. 37: 36-39]  
  6. Arrested and accused of treason by Pedro of Castile for refusing to execute Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba, Don Alfonso Fernández, the Lord of Montemayor, and Diego Fernández, Chief-Justice.
