Guy de Maillesec, Bishop of Poitiers

  1. (?-1411) Member of a noble family in the Limousin region, France. Nephew of two popes, Clement VI and Gregory XI.
  2. His career developed during the Great Schism, being closely associated to the Antipopes.
  3. Bishop of Poitiers appointed by Gregory XI in 1371.
  4. Cardinal of the Holy Cross, Jerusalem, in 1375. Also known as Cardinal of Poitiers.
  5. Advocate for the Antipope Clement VII, 1378.
  6. Cardinal bishop of Palestrina, in 1383.
