- Treasurer of the city of Lisbon (1371-1372).
- Appointed by King Fernando of Portugal as one of the first two executives of "Companhia das Naus", a maritime company established by the monarch in order to minimize losses and replace ships lost at sea (1380).
- The company functioned as an insurance company mainly for large trade ships, of over 42 tons, known as 'carracks' .
