- In 1383, by order of King Fernando, he delivered the castle to João Afonso Telo, 6th Count of Barcelos, brother of Queen Leonor Teles. Peres Esteves was the notary with Diogo Gonçalves, governor of the castle of Faria, as witness. The original document can be found at Torre do Tombo, the Prtuguese national archive in Lisbon.
- Was present at the ceremony in which the letters of dispensation petitioned by King João I, approved by Urban VI before his death, but only later confirmed in writing by Boniface IX, were made public at Lisbon cathedral amongst the highest civil and religious dignitaries in Portugal (1390).
