  1. Order of the Knights Hospitaller (PK); group founded c. 1050 to provide care to the pilgrim to te Holy Land.
  2. Became a military order during the First Crusade after the conquest of Jerusalem in 1099.
  3. It had its headquarters in Rhodes from 1310 to 1523.
