Valencia (city)

  1. Medieval Muslim city and kingdom conquered by James I of Aragon (1238) and integrated into the Aragonese Crown. 
  2. The city suffered considerably during Pedro of Castile's wars with Aragon from 1356 to 1366.
  3. In modern times it is the capital of the autonomous community of Valencia on the Mediterranean coast, Eastern Spain.
