  1. River running East to West, through Córdoba, Almodóvar del Río, where Pedro of Castile had his treasury, Seville, and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, where it opens into the Mediterranean.
  2. Pedro of Castile's treasury galley was still on the Guadalquivir trying to reach Portugal, when it was taken by Egídio Boccanegra, Pedro's own admiral.  The king was attempting to flee the kingdom as Enrique de Transtámara's army advanced toward Seville (1366). [Pedro, ch. 37: 44-50]
