  1. Town and medieval castle in the kingdom of Andalusia incoprorated into the Crown of Castile in 1240.
  2. It was a frequent place of residence of Pedro I and Enrique II of Castile. It was also an infamous dungeon, as well as the royal treasury.
  3. Nowadays, the town is called Almodóvar del Rio, situated in the province of Córdoba, autonomous community of Andalusia, southern modern Spain.
