Jean II, King of France

  1. (1319-1364) Known as Jean le Bon. Son of Philippe VI of France (1293-1350) and Jeanne of Bourgogne (1293-1349).
  2. Married Bonne of Bohemia (1332) by whom he had nine children including the future Charles V of France (1338-1380). In 1350 he married his second wife, Jeanne d'Auvergne.
  3. Negotiated the marriage of Blanche, daughter of the Duke of Bourbon, to Pedro I of Castile. [Pedro, ch 16: 46-57]
  4. Enrique Count of Trastámara joined his service in the war against England at La Rochelle. [Pedro, ch. 17: 214-218]
