Gonçalo Pereira

1. Vassal of King Pedro of Portugal.
2. Person difficult to identify. Most probably the son of Rui Gonçalves Pereira, the illegitimate half-brother of the Archbishop of Braga Gonçalo Pereira (died 1348). Both Gonçalo Pereira and his brothers Álvaro Pereira and Rui Pereira are attested at the court of Pedro I and Fernando I.
3. Witnessed King Pedro in Cantanhede swearing on the Gospels that he had married Dona Inês de Castro. [Pedro, ch. 27: 22-30]
