Diego García de Padilla, Master of Calatrava

  1. Master of the Military Order of Calatrava (1355-1365).
  2. Brother of María de Padilla, long-time lover of King Pedro of Castile.
  3. Accompanied Pedro of Castile in one of his incursions into Granada, but fell prisoner to the Red Emir of Granada (1361 ?) on the same occasion as Sancho Pérez de Ayalla. The Emir, however, released him and other Castilian prisoners to please Pedro of Castile and gain his favor.
